Two young creatives have offered to take a brave agency’s Cannes Lion award on tour in New York to snap the trophy in front of Big Apple landmarks.

The scheme, dubbed the ‘Legendary Lion Tour’, has so far involved creatives Sandrine Gautheret and David Felton extending an open offer to take a UK Lion on an “all expenses paid trip" to New York.

The pair claim to have enough “space in their luggage to turn one special Lion into a celebrity” when they leave London at the end of July.

Copywriter David Felton said: “The idea here is that you've dreamed about winning that award, and you've worked hard for it. Now it's time to make it work for you. We're looking for an agency that’s willing to take a risk instead of just leaving their Lion on a shelf.

“We want to transform one Lion into a global icon, sending it on trip of a lifetime.”

Sandrine Gautheret, David Felton and New York-based creative Mate Nagy, will coordinate to campaign, sending back daily pictures, ripe for sharing on social media channels - if someone slips them their cherished award that is.
