Samsung promotes Phil Newton to chief marketing officer role

Samsung has promoted Phil Newton, head of consumer electronics to the positon of vice president and chief marketing officer.

Replacing departing Arno Lenior with immediate effect, Newton, who has more than 25 years behind him in consumer electronics, will embrace a whole new host of responsibilities.

These include leading marketing comms and strategy across the whole of the business.

Guided by his hand, the company is tasked with boosting the South Korean’s presence in the TV AV and IT markets.
