Made.com co-founder Chloe Macintosh is to step down as creative director of the furniture design company after five years with the business.

Macintosh, who founded the company in 2010 alongside entrepreneur Ning Li, Brent Hoberman (co-founder of Lastminute.com) and Julien Callede will remain an investor and ambassador for the brand.

Speaking about her departure Macintosh said: “Five years is a very long time in the vibrant tech/ start-up scene in London and as the business gets ready for the next step of its growth I feel the time is right for me to plan my next step.

“I am incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved at Made.com – we’ve shaken-up an industry when people said we couldn’t and I still believe the sky is the limit for the brand. I leave knowing there is a dedicated team there that shares and will deliver on this ambition.”

Macintosh's replacement will be announced in the coming months.

Last year Made.com saw sales grow by 62 per cent.
