With recent research by Socialbakers showing that four out five questions consumers ask brands on Twitter are unanswered, we looked at how global media companies fared.
Unmetric – a company whose technology tracks and analyzes the online and social behavior of over 35,000 brands - provided us with data for media companies with the highest tweet volume from January 1 through March 31.
Looking at their average response rates, RTV6 has the fastest average response time, 12 minutes 57 seconds, while WWE has the longest, 7 hours 14 minutes. The most common responses given by these brands include apologies, contact, email, direct message and, the most popular, view a link.
Perhaps most impressive is MTV, a much larger network than RTV6. MTV has the second-fastest response time among the companies measured, and more, they offer the most apologies of the group while also being able to advance their digital connection to consumers with “view a link” responses.
