Square’s Fastbite restaurant delivery service rolls out Caviar app in New York
Square has entered the increasingly saturated NYC food delivery market, which already includes Seamless and UberEats, with its own app entitled Caviar.
Almost a year after Square snapped up the food delivery start-up, Caviar now offers a whole host of meals to New Yorkers.
The dishes, which can be ordered on mobile devices through a dedicated app, cost under $15 with an expected delivery time of 15 minutes.
This will mark the first time the service, which has been readily available in the Silicon Valley region and beyond, operates in New York.
This follows Square snapping up Kili Technology in March as part of a push to perfect its mobile payment processes.
