LeBron James was mentioned in 18% of all reactions to TV on Twitter
The NBA is continuing to inspire the most reactions to TV on Twitter. Over the past week LeBron James was the major topic of conversation accounting for 18% of all reactions to TV on Twitter. Tonight's sixth and potentially final game will most likely cause even more intense participation.
Last week we introduced our partnership with Canvs, the only qualitative social TV solution. Canvs analyzes TV-related Tweets as captured by Nielsen for every new and live English-language show on US television from three hours before, during, and three hours after an episode's initial broadcast, local time.
Below, some stats from last week followed by an infographic:
- It looks like sports fans still love to hate James, too. For each of the three games, James inspired more hate reactions than love reactions. He netted out with about 150,000 love reactions to just over 170,000 hate reactions.
- American Pharaoh’s Triple Crown win caused goosebumps in 2,437 reactions.
- "Most Beautiful" - The Tony Awards vs The CMT Awards. Tonys - Kelli O’Hara (1,306 beautiful reactions) and CMT - Carrie Underwood (1,143 beautiful reactions)
