Publicis Groupe’s BBH has acquired Domani, an independent Brooklyn-based creative and digital agency that has worked with brands including VH1, Random House, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

The move comes as BBH seeks to expand its digital capabilities in the US.

Domani will continue to operate under its current name as a subsidiary of BBH. The agency will now be based out of BBH’s New York offices.

Founder and president of Domani Jonathan Hills will now serve as head of digital and will report to CEO of BBH North America Pat Lafferty. Domani’s current staff will continue to report to Hills.

Hills will also work with BBH New York’s head of integrated production and technology Carey Head, who joined the agency last year to improve its digital offerings.

Of his appointment, Hills said: “This move is a great fit, both strategically and culturally. We have a shared passion for the transformative power of a strong creative strategy - and the role that digital plays within that strategy to effect behavior and build great brands.”

BBH New York works with clients including Sony PlayStation, Vaseline, and Unilever.
