Weetabix has appointed Vizeum as its new media buying agency following a four-way pitch process.
Vizeum takes the reins from Blue 449, formerly Walker Media, which had held the account since 2005.
Sally Abbot, group marketing director at Weetabix said that the appointment comes as the breakfast company looks to drive its brands forward. “We are now ready to take another leap forward and we're excited to begin working with Vizeum as we look to continue to step up the growth of our brands Weetabix and Alpen,” she said.
“Vizeum impressed us with their insight, their challenges to our thinking and ambition for our future plans during the agency review process which included our incumbent agency.”
Weetabix retains BBH as its creative agency, following the success of campaigns such as Weetabuddies which boosted sales in supermarket aisles.
