AnalogFolk is opening an office in Hong Kong that will help to cement its global offering.

The team will focus on developing innovative interactive platforms, specialising on design, user experience and understanding people’s behaviour in the digital space. It bolsters the agency’s presence in London, New York, Portland and Sydney.

Two agency veterans from the Asia Pacfic region have been brought in to spearhead the offer at a time of increased interest in emerging markets from clients. Managing director and partner Chris Ryan leads the Hong Kong team alongside creative user experience director and partner Harry Llufrio.

Ryan has worked across Europe and Asia for over 20 years and most recently was the executive director of international clients at Isobar APAC. Prior to this, he was chief executive of Isobar Hong Kong and has also worked with advertisers such as Kellogg’s, Lloyds TSB, Travelex, SEGA, Philips and AnalogFolk client Pernod Ricard.

Meanwhile, Llufrio joins from LoweProfero where he was experience design director for South East Asia. Previously, he was the user experience lead for Isobar Hong Kong and in an 18-year career has worked on projects for brands such as Emirates, Disney, AIA, Peninsula Hotels, Asics and DFS.

AnalogFolk’s push into the Asia comes off the back of a strong period that has seen it add Absolut and Lucozade to its client roster and launch its Portland office earlier this year.
