The winners of the latest Creative Department have been revealed in the 10 June issue of The Drum.

Check out the top creative work picked by The Drum UK and US readers, our sponsor, Workfront, and this issue's creative director Casey Rand, who just so happens to be the creative director at Droga5.

Creative Director's Choice: DDB Argentina - FATH 'The Man and the Dog'

Casey Rand, creative director, Droga5

This spot features two of my favorite things: dogs and twist endings. I love how simple the storytelling is - a classic tale of man’s best friend, turned on its head. I love how one short phrase makes sense of everything at the end (it reminds me of this, one of my all time favs). And I love the acting chops on that dog. What a pro.

Beyond all that, I also appreciate the refreshing take on a subject that’s often communicated in depressing and dramatic ways. You can’t talk about organ donation without talking about death, and that can get morbid fast. This went at it in a truly unique way that left me feeling okay about The Man’s death. Either that, or I’m a cold-hearted (female dog). Here's hoping it's the first one.

UK Readers' Favourite: TBWA\London - Coco de Mer 'X'

Coco de Mer has launched a compelling new film campaign ‘X’ – a collaboration between TBWA\London and Rankin – to engage people in a new, liberated conversation around desire. Running online and nationwide in cinemas the creative was shot by an ensemble of directors and photographers and aims to immerse viewers in the deepest desires of the erotic imagination, showing a rollercoaster ride of images from seemingly banal everyday moments to evocative images of Coco de Mer lingerie.

US Readers' Favourite: GSD&M: PetSmart 'Partners in Pethood'

Meet the ‘Avant Guardians,’ a pair of fashion-obsessed Shih Tzu owners that genuinely believe their dog is the pet world’s style icon.Created by GSD&M-Austin, the spot features the couple as they claim other pups do a ‘doggy double-take’ when they see their stylish Shih Tzu.

The video was directed by GO’s Christopher Guest, famous for his work on ‘Best in Show,’ a movie that parodies pet owners competing at a national dog show. PetSmart’s tagline for the spot is ‘Pethood is better with a partner,’ encouraging viewers to book an appointment with one of their groomers online

Sponsor's Choice: M&C Saatchi Sydney: The Blue Ball Foundation

Jada Balster, marketing director, EMEA

Once you have recovered from the initial shock factor of the method used you have to admire the charity’s balls in raising awareness in such a way. Using no PR or promotions and relying on the core market to be influenced by ‘pornterruption' was a huge risk, but one which paid off judging by the 2.5 million views and the 325,000 visits to the campaign website.

The 10 June issue of The Drum's Creative Department also features work from Sid Lee and Coley Porter Bell and is available in The Drum Store.
