Dallas-based agency, Commerce House, has hired magazine publisher Phyllis Cole McKnight to help grow its client base as head of business development.

Commerce House is most known for its work with Samsung, Pizza Hut, and Texas Health Resources.

“After producing amazing results for clients for years, it’s time for our reputation to catch up to our work,” said Mark Denesuk, founder and chief executive officer of Commerce House.

“Phyllis has succeeded across the spectrum of advertising and media, and she’s proven adept at accelerating growth companies. She gets what makes our agency special and meaningful, and will be a great advocate for our business.”

Previously, McKnight spent two decades as the publisher of D Magazine, launching 15 extensions of the brand.

She is set to begin her new role immediately and will report directly to Denusky.
