AKQA's Phil Haworth joins R/GA London in newly created campaigns role

R/GA London has appointed Phil Haworth to the newly created role of group creative director, head of campaigns, joining the agency’s senior management team.

As group creative director, head of campaigns, Haworth is charged with the day-to-day management of the agency’s creative teams, developing best-in-class work across all accounts. Haworth joins R/GA from AKQA, where he spent eight years as group creative director.

Haworth reports to vice president, executive creative director, R/GA London, Rodrigo Sobral who said of the appointment: “Phil’s unique creative vision and history of delivering world class, award-winning campaigns will help us continue to lead the way when it comes to creating truly end-to-end work.

“His experience and expertise in concepting will ensure that our campaigns team continue to create some of the most cutting-edge and inspiring pieces of storytelling in the industry.”

Prior to AKQA Haworth began his career in New York, firstly as a comic book editor and later as a creative copywriter where he created campaigns for Acclaim Entertainment, Hasboro Interactive and GT Interactive amongst others.
