Short Rationale: The Latin American telecommunications brand Claro gave up its most valuable outdoor advertising space, dish antennas with its logo, to people who needed it more: Central American housewives with no income. After collaborating with local artists and households, women's rural startups were created, by transforming their dish antennas into billboards for their new businesses based on their favorite household activity.

Short rationale: We looked to elevate our pint design by using a bold, clear font that would communicate the uniqueness of the ingredients and flavor names (we are architecturally-inspired, so have punny names). We also added graphic images of some of the key ingredients. We also love colors that pop! Hence the purple, cyan, yellow, orange and grass green bold choices. Last, we always look for an industrial, clean, but super fun look. We felt this re-design achieved all of those objectives.

Short Rationale: The branding concept explores the idea of a gift laboratory, playing with formulas and elements that depict a scientific approach to happiness. The brand is wrapped around mixtures of fun and experiments that portray a happiness factory where gifts are carefully packed. The logotype takes on the two dimensional drawing of a three dimensional box. The logo variations were developed as different characters to bring the brand to life.
The use of typography throughout the applications supports the experimental spirit of the brand. Phrases around the packaging show precision and symbols resembling chemistry formulas. These elements are combined with smiley faces composed of keyboard symbols, resulting in a playful laboratory aesthetic.
Traditional blue and pink colors were chosen as Davana’s color palette, to make reference to the fact that the brand has both men and women gift boxes. Red and light green were added as contrasting colors, and are used throughout the brand’s collateral. The color palette is bright and colorful, communicating the joy and happiness of receiving a gift.

Short Rationale: As part of an entire portfolio rebrand, St. Bernadine was asked to help create a new look for Lighthouse Brewing Co.’s “Explorer Series” family of craft beers. Lighthouse Brewing’s Explorer Series is a family of craft beers brewed for those looking for a little more in their beers; more hop, more malt, more character. This inspired a design system that was created to reflect the layers and complexity of the beers, while still honouring the hand crafted nature of the brews and remaining true to the brand’s nautical positioning. For launch, the family included Shipwreck IPA, Tasman Pale Ale, and Seaport Vanilla Stout.

Short rationale: Xocolatl is a chocolate company based in Atlanta, GA. Xocolatl specializes in sourcing single-origin cacao beans to roast, hand-crack, winnow, stone-grind and wrap, producing a pure form of chocolate using only cacao and organic cane sugar; all within their micro-factory in the Krog Street Market, a new local retail and food stall haven in the historic Inman Park neighborhood.
The logo on the wrapper is decorated with shapes influenced by Aztec imagery (the birthplace of chocolate and inspiration for the name) in a playful, colorful and contemporary setting while emphasizing a sense of place by highlighting the "ATL" inherent in the brand name. The logo appears in the abbreviated form “XOATL” on the back to emphasize the chocolatiers love of their hometown, and in the center of the chocolate bar the logo is distilled into its essence of “XO” as a gift to give to somebody special.
Single-origin cacao bars are characterized by illustrations of the cacao tree to highlight the purity of the bean-to-bar process. Flavored bars highlight the pride in community and are illustrated with drawings depicting the neighborhood and style of housing characteristic of Atlanta. The patterned XOATL bar is just pure Atlanta love!
