Guerrilla bus ad subverts Obama’s ‘Hope’ poster showing David Cameron sucking a gun
A Manchester bus stop has been adorned with an inflammatory poster showing newly re-elected prime minister David Cameron with a gun in his mouth.
The guerrilla ad, which is a subversion of the iconic Obama ‘Hope’ poster, issued during his 2008 election campaign, was erected in Chorlton, early on Thursday morning.
No one has taken responsibility for the impromptu artwork.
Manchester Evening News first noticed the disruptive poster, noting it has been defaced to remove the gun.

Critics of the Tory government appear to be getting ever more creative in their condemnation of the newly formed majority government.
The poster comes after a couple who erected a mural showing Cameron choking a nurse – to signify NHS cuts – were threatened with prosecution for running what the council deemed was an advertisement without permission.
