Tribal’s Phil Dowgierd joins Publicis as managing director of digital

Former Tribal Worldwide Sydney managing director Phil Dowgierd has returned to the UK to become managing director of digital at Publicis London.

Reporting into Publicis London chief executive Karen Buchanan, Dowgierd will sit on the agency's management board and has been tasked with leading integrated digital disciplines for clients.

“Phil brings a unique perspective on how to deliver digital solutions at scale for clients,” said Guy Wieynk, Publicis, group chief executive, UK and Nordics. “He is a great talent who builds strong teams that deliver ground breaking work”

In addition to Tribal Worldwide, Dowgierd has also held roles at AKQA, Full Six, Fallon and M&C Saatchi.

He said he was “delighted” to play a part as Publicis London evolves: “Our business is about ideas, but today they exist where technology, data and creativity meet. Publicis is best prepared to harness this given its flat structure and single P&L.”

He has joined with immediate effect.
