B-Reel appoints award winning director Simon Cole

B-Reel has hired award winning director Simon Cole, ending his 10-year stint at HSI Productions.

Cole brings a creative flair to the agency that has already been put on show in ads for brands such as Amazon.com, Netflix, and Cracker Jacks. His work has won numerous awards including Clios, Cannes Lions, Golden Pencils from the One Show in the US, and D&AD honours in Europe.

“Simon combines performance direction with a keen visual sensibility,” says Michael McQuhae, executive producer and managing director at B-Reel, said: “Having worked with Simon previously, I look forward to producing with him, again. We’re excited to kick-off things off with Erwin Penland & Hill Holliday Boston for Evolve, a gun safety PSA featuring actor Josh Lucas.”

In addition to his commercials work, Simon’s documentary ‘So Help Me God,” has been featured on TV-networks worldwide and is available on Amazon.com, Netflix, and iTunes. He is currently writing a black-comedy feature titled “Knock Down Ginger.”
