Interpublic (IPG) agencies Mullen and Lowe and Partners have joined to create the Mullen Lowe Group.

According to IPG, the move is part of its commitment to grow a third global full-service network within its portfolio.

Former CEO of Mullen Alex Leikikh will take up the same role at the new Mullen Lowe Group. While Lowe and Partners CEO Michael Wall helped facilitate the transition, he is now leaving the company.

Michael Roth, CEO of IPG, said: “We have been clear that, with the diversification of Lowe’s offerings and its improved performance, the key for the network is now continuing its global growth, including the U.S., the world’s largest ad market.

“By creating Mullen Lowe Group, we can unlock this potential, and simultaneously provide a gateway to global talent and service infrastructure for one of our most dynamic and contemporary U.S. agencies,” he said.

The Mullen Lowe Group will begin business in the US and UK markets immediately.
