USA Today, Reuters, Vice Media, Huffington Post & The Guardian among Nominees for The Drum Online Media Awards

This year's The Drum Online Media Awards nominations sponsored by Iomart, have been announced with media companies such as Vice, Huffington Post UK, USA Today and The Guardian among those in line for success.

Categories include Best Site for News-Led Journalism, Best National/World News Site, Best Video Journalism and Online Editorial Campaign of the Year.

Other media companies nominated are the Independent, BBC Online, RadioTimes.com, Al Jazeera, ITN, Channel 4, Reuters, Press Gazette and Yahoo.

Judging this years awards were; journalist, television presenter, author and media commentator Ray Snoddy, former British Journalism Review editor Bill Hegarty, business journalist and media professor Mark McSherry, Former Sunday Mail editor and founding chairman of the company that became the Carnyx Group Noel Young; editor, writer and interviewer with more than 30 years of experience, Chris Connelly; David Mill, MediaCo managing director; trade and consumer journalist who now works as an editorial consultant for a number of charities, Liz Vercoe and Eamonn Byrne.

The full list of nominees can be viewed at The Drum Online Media Awards website where tickets to attend the awards ceremony that takes place at The Marriott Grosvenor in London, can also be purchased.

The winners will be announced on 10 June.
