McDonald’s brings back Hamburglar as suburban dad

McDonald’s has given its iconic Hamburglar character a new look.

In a 30-second spot the company released on its Twitter account, a dad is shown donning the Hamburglar’s signature black and white stripes while grilling burgers in his backyard.

The caption above the video reads, ‘Wait, is this who we think it is??!’

The ad promotes the company’s sirloin third-pound burgers, which it rolled out earlier this year.

Earlier this week, McDonald’s announced its turnaround plan to help the fast-food chain battle shrinking sales.
