Twitter’s CFO reportedly to handle brand’s marketing
In a surprising twist in Twitter’s search for its next chief media officer (CMO), the social media brand has reportedly appointed its chief financial officer (CFO), Anthony Noto, to handle its marketing operations.
The news was broken by The Verge, who reported that an unnamed source claimed the decision was made at a meeting at Twitter headquarters on Monday.

"Noto is consolidating power, so to speak," the source told the Verge.
Noto has almost zero marketing experience, previously serving as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs.
Last week, both Noto and chief executive Dick Costolo announced Twitter’s disappointing quarterly earnings to investors.
