Unilever taps former Kellogg's digital boss for media director role

Kellogg's former digital director Alex Tait is to replace Sarah Mansfield at Unilever taking over the role of media director for the UK and Ireland.

At Kellogg's Tait oversaw digital marketing strategy and operations for the EMEA region from the brand's Dublin office. He left last year to return to London for family reasons.

At Unilever Tait is charged with "driving and delivering outstanding 360 communications" for Unilever brands in the UK and Ireland.

Prior to Kellogg's he held the role of group head of e-commerce at Arcadia. He has also worked with American Express and the Post Office in digital marketing and e-commerce positions.

Tait has also been chair of the ISBA's digital, direct and data action group.

Mansfield, who last year was promoted to vice president of global media for Unilever, across Europe and the Americas. will focus on her global remit.

She has been instrumental in establishing and integrating programmatic trading into media plans across the business, for which she recently receieved recognition winning Digital Trading Leader of the Year at The Drum's Digital Trading Awards.
