Metro appoints Charlotte Sayer to lead content sponsorship

Metro has promoted Charlotte Sayer to the newly created role of head of sponsorship.

She is to oversee new supplement and sponsorship opportunities and develop fresh content platforms for the newspaper.

Sayer has worked within the trading team at Metro for almost six years, most recently as an account manager.

Commenting on the appointment, the publisher’s trading director Grant Woodthorpe said that Sayer will “step up so naturally into the role”, and added: “Her proven track record and passion for innovating and achieving results makes for a very exciting development in our commercial team.”

Metro has made several alterations to its design and content team over the last 12 months, having bolstered its branded content division Story and launched a new weekly interiors and property supplement.
