Google, Droga5 and Publicis among second wave of D&AD Pencil winners

Google, Droga5 and Publicis Shanghai are among the winners announced in the second wave of judging at the D&AD Judging Week taking place in East London.

Google was awarded for its Google Science Fair 2014 in the White Pencil category, Droga5 picked up a Pencil for the Heineken Newcastle Brown Superbowl hijack in the Integrated and Innovative Media category and Publicis Shanghai's work for Green Peace won in the Crafts for Design category.

A total of 178 Pencils were awarded today (day two) by juries in the Crafts for Advertising, Crafts for Design, Integrated and Innovative Media, Magazine and Newspaper Design , Mobile Marketing and White Pencil juries categories.

However, winners will have to wait until a ceremony on 21 May to find out which colour Pencil (Wood, Graphite or Yellow) they’ve won.

Other winners include Ogilvy & Mather Beijing in the Crafts for Design category for the agency's work for the Center for Psychological Research Shenyang; FCB South Africa's work for Coca-Cola in the Integrated and Innovative Media category and Unidad Editorial's magazine design for the Spanish Metropoli Magazine.

234 Pencils awarded have been award so far in total. Yesterday saw wins from Leo Burnett, DDB South Africa and Design Bridge.

White and Black Pencil winners, which award creativity for good and the finest creative work respectively will also be announced at the awards ceremony.
