Emma Rush has joined the management team at Publicis Chemistry as head of client services.

Rush has spent the past 18 months at TBCH as chief executive of direct marketing where she managed the agency’s merger into RAPP Group.

Prior to that she was managing director at Baber Smith, leading campaigns for clients including RNLI and Royal Mail, and director of client services at Proximity London, where she spent just over three years working with Royal Mail, Orange and Eurostar.

Rush will return to working with Royal Mail again at Publicis Chemistry – which picked up £8m direct mail account from Proximity in 2013 – as well as running accounts for the agency’s other major clients including EE, Barratt’s, and Gatwick Airport.

“As client services director I will be responsible for delivering great work that makes a real difference to our clients’ business,” Rush said, adding that she was joined at a “transformational moment” for the agency.

Former AKQA vice president Guy Wieynk joined Publicis Worldwide as UK chief executive last year to oversee the “ecosystem” of agencies including Publicis London, Poke and Blueprint. He said Rush will be “pivotal” in elevating Chemistry’s communications offering.
