Indiana has partnered with PR firm Porter Novelli to repair some of the damage caused by the passage of the Religious Freedom Law.

The law, which was passed late last month, could allow businesses to refuse service to LGBT individuals on the grounds of religious beliefs.

This sparked the public condemnation of the law by many influential individuals and brands, including Hillary Clinton, Yelp, and Salesforce.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. announced the partnership with Portner Novelli, stating that it wanted to reinforce the state’s reputation as “a welcoming place to live, visit and do business.”

According to the agency’s website, it has worked on the campaigns of many big-name brands including UPS, HP, and Walt Disney.

Porter Novelli declined to comment on the project and the Indiana Economic Development Corp. has yet to respond to The Drum’s request for interview.

This isn’t the first attempt to reconstruct damage caused by the law. Earlier this month, the city of Indianapolis revamped its tourism website to welcome LGBT travelers.
