LA Dodgers & R/GA team up to launch first-ever sports technology and entertainment accelerator

The Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team and advertising agency R/GA have launched a new accelerator that would specifically target companies that offer services and products related to the sports, technology and entertainment fields.

The pair will choose ten startups and give them access to industry resources and support them in development and growth acceleration.

“The sports industry is ripe with opportunities for innovation”, said Tucker Kain chief financial officer of the Dodgers. “There are countless ways for new technology to create more powerful consumer experiences, heighten fan engagement, and improve efficiencies. We’re thrilled at the opportunity to work with some of the best sports-centric startups from the LA area and across the globe.”

Companies interested in being considered for the acceleration can submit applications online from now till 29 June.
