LinkedIn launches app that encourages users to share employer content
LinkedIn has launched Elevate, an app designed to encourage users to share content from their employers.
The standalone app lets employers share content with specific employees, who can then forward it to their own networks.
This move has been prompted by recent trends that suggest articles reshared by employees garner more likes and profile views than those shared by employers alone.
So far, it has only been released to a small number of companies on a trial basis.
LinkedIn hasn’t set a price for the product yet, though it should be widely available by Q3.
Last week, LinkedIn acquired learning tool, Lynda.com for $1.5bn.
