KLM has launched a new campaign for children centred around a series of animated short films featuring the brand's mascot Bluey.

Created by DDB & Tribal Worldwide Amsterdam, the first film called "Bluey the Movie" can be seen from today (10 April) on the KLM YouTube channel and from June on all intercontinental KLM flights.

Pol Hoenderboom, creative director, DDB & Tribal Worldwide, Amsterdam, said of the film: “Although it’s a kids campaign, we wanted to create an animation movie that was also entertaining for parents. It’s such a pleasure working on projects like this. From creating all the characters, wring their personalities. To the actual voice-over sessions, where we ended up with a real father and son playing Bluey and Dad.”

Launched last November, the brand mascot was created to engage younger travellers, and KLM has since rolled out a series of Bluey branded products ranging from key cords, trolleys and card games, to a meal box for children on international flights.
