Brand design agency JDO has relaunched its website to provide a fully responsive showcase for its portfolio of work for clients such as Jack Daniels, Dove and Carlsberg.

Designed and built by digital agency Yoyo Design, the new site implements Parallax JavaScript to create a layered animation on the homepage and project hero sections to create more depth and movement throughout the site.

Paul Drake, creative director at JDO, said: “Creative agencies don't always play nicely together but to their credit the team at Yoyo ‘got’ JDO very quickly and was able to grasp our brand, both creatively and culturally. We wanted to create a virtual gallery space that didn't obstruct the work and let the content do the talking. We’ve been able to create a site with Yoyo that lets our creative work shine and we’re continuously generating more content to push the site and its format even harder.”

Yoyo creative director Gregg Lawrence said: “JDO have a fantastic portfolio of work so we made this the focus of the site by using large imagery as the main feature of each page. Using the entire screen helps to engage the user when visiting the site. We were lucky that the client gave us freedom to be creative on this project, so we used various transitions and effects using true parallax to create depth and movement."

Yoyo’s clients include Marks &Spencer, The Open University, Biffa and Freesat.
