Home rental service Airbnb has celebrated its expansion into Cuba with a creative campaign from TBWA\Chiat\Day LA.

Running as full-page spreads in the New York Times, Washington Post and Wall Street Journal, the simple creative celebrates more than 1,000 properties opening their doors to travellers.

Announced last week (2 April) the move comes as President Obama loosened the travel ban to Cuba.

Speaking to the Washington Post, Dan Restrepo a former advisor to Obama who helped Airbnb with the Cuban expansion said: “The shared housing model already existed in Cuba. Because the model existed, Airbnb can go work directly with Cubans and with much less interaction with the Cuban government.”
