Model Kate Upton has revealed the viral video of her doing the “Cat Daddy” dance that propelled her to fame was posted without her permission.

The risqué video of the scantily-clad model was filmed by photographer Terry Richardson, who then posted it on his YouTube channel.

The clip, which has received more than 22 million views, is not unlike others on the channel. Richardson often posts videos of the models he shoots in hyper-sexualized scenarios. There have been at least six sexual assault complaints, and two lawsuits against the photographer.

“Upton was horrified because the behind-the-scenes video had been filmed for fun, not something she expected would make the final cut,” the Vogue article read. “Did she stand up to Richardson when she discovered it had gone viral? ‘Yes, I did. I was like, 'That was disrespectful, you could have told me!'"

Since, Upton said, she has forgiven him.

Regardless of the allegations against him, Richardson is still one of the most sought-after profile photographers in the business, being featured in the likes of Rolling Stone and GQ, and earning as much as $160,000 for a day’s work.

Recently, Upton made headlines after saying that marketing has ruined social media.
