The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) has unveiled a new brand for mental health social workers called Think Ahead with positioning and identity created Dragon Rouge.

Think Ahead is a new two-year fast track graduate scheme, designed to attract graduates and career changers from top tier universities into a career in mental health social work.

The scheme follows a report published by IPPR on the state of mental health trusts within the UK. In response the Department of Health challenged the institute to design the graduate scheme.

Dragon Rouge has worked to help define a clear brand positioning, name and identity to attract applicants as well as engage a secondary audience from parents to the wider social work profession, politicians, service users, local mental health trusts, universities and corporate partners.

“Dragon Rouge did an excellent job of understanding our audience and developing a compelling brand," said Dr Matthew Brown, Think Ahead’s external relations director.

"The opportunity provided by Think Ahead appeals to a diverse range of people, united only by their rare blend of talents. Dragon Rouge has helped us to describe and present our programme in a way that will reach and attract this unique group.”

Work on the project took eight weeks to complete.
