Over fifty years since the launch of Dulux’s iconic Old English Sheepdog brand mascot, the paint brand has revealed its first TV advert featuring a puppy.

Appearing in an advert for Dulux Weathershield, the two month old puppy was chosen to star after a number of pups auditioned.

The 20 second creative forms part of the brand’s ongoing series which imagines what a world without colour would be like, exploring the powerful impact colour has on our surroundings and emotions.

“The Old English Sheepdog has represented the brand for over 50 years now and we're sure viewers will be thrilled to see a loveable puppy featuring for the very first time,” said Weathershield brand manager, Kay Bartlett.

“We've been able to represent the passing of time in the ad with the puppy shown growing into an adult dog to demonstrate how Dulux Weathershield allows you to improve the aesthetic of your home by adding a splash of colour whilst also being able to withstand extreme weather conditions for up to 15 years.”

As part of the ‘Colourless Future’ campaign viewers have the chance to win a Dulux Dog cuddly toy online.
