DDB New York, part of the Omnicom Group, has hired Madison Wharton, formerly The Barbarian Group’s executive director of production, as its new chief production officer.

The move comes shortly after the appointment of Icaro Dorio as chief creative officer. President of DDB New York, Chris Brown, appears to be giving the entire executive team a revitalization.

“We are delighted to welcome Madison to the team at such an exciting time for DDB New York,” said Brown.

“We are on a mission to blaze new trails and attracting A-list talent like Madison is key to our success. She is creatively driven, passionate about technology with a fantastic breadth of operational, digital and production expertise. She is going to add real value to the leadership team.”

Before her time at Barbarian, Wharton worked at Momentum Worldwide and Crispin. Throughout her career, she has worked with top brands such as Pepsi, Google, and American Express.

She will report directly to Brown.
