Time is running out to nominate the most inspiring women working in the search marketing sector to Google and The Drum’s Women in Search initiative.

The Drum and Google are calling for the search industry to nominate the women they believe are making the most impact in the field by Thursday 26 March, to help raise awareness of the gender gap plaguing the industry.

By celebrating inspirational success stories, Google hopes to raise the profile of search marketing as a viable career choice to young women. All nominations will be considered for the public vote stage, with The Drum Search Awards judging panel deliberating on an overall winner, to be announced at the black tie event in June.

“Google believes that search should be as diverse as the 2.5 billion people it serves,” said Google UK & Ireland managing director, Eileen Naughton, when the initiative launched. “It is our hope that the Women in Search initiative will not only celebrate successful women in the sector, but also inspire women starting out in their career.”

Nominations close on Thursday 26 March, make sure you submit your nominations before it’s too late.
