Cider brand Strongbow’s new US campaign featuring Sir Patrick Stewart aims to prove that when you have Strongbow, ice, and an award for ‘Best Tasting Common Cider,’ you don’t need anything else, particularly celebrity appearances - much to the chagrin of the actor.

The spot, called “Award” and created by agency Droga5, is the latest out of the brand’s US roll out.

It highlights the fact that Strongbow is best served over ice.

“Have you got the shot yet?” an irked Stewart says in the commercial as he holds up the award while it covers his face.

Heineken’s Strongbow rolled outs its “Cider at its Bestest” campaign in the US earlier this year.
