Holiday camp chain Butlin's has appointed brand and retail consultancy Fitch to assist it as it look to refresh its resorts and overall guest experience.

Following a four-way pitch process, Fitch has been tasked with "rekindling the love" holidaymakers have for the brand and for the British seaside in general, and the agency will work to reinvigorate the look and feel of all communications, as well as the on-resort experience. The the latter will see a focus on new concepts for entertainment, food and beverages, and accommodation.

Alasdair Lennox, executive creative director Fitch EMEA, said: “We are ready and very much looking forward to helping Butlin’s as they move to the next stage of their brand journey, one that will drive an engaging customer experience and help reinvent the British seaside break, while drawing upon all the amazing heritage and history that only a brand like Butlin’s possesses.”

Butlin's first resort opened in 1936 in Skegness and now has locations in Minehead and Bognor Regis.
