Chat show host Jimmy Kimmel recruited actor Matthew McConaughey to try and save an independently owned Texas video store in advance of South by Southwest (SXSW).

Vulcan Video Store, which still sells VHS tapes, had been struggling ever since the onset of on-demand streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu.

Kimmel and MCConaughey decided to help the storeowners by producing a series of bizarre, yet hilarious commercials (above) that urge the public to start using VHS tapes again.

“Quit scrolling, quit streaming, start dreaming about VHS,” the pair chanted in one spot.

In addition to boasting the availability of VHS at Vulcan, McConaughey and Kimmel bragged about its selection, which includes Asian horror, Canadian TV, and Hot Dog the movie.
