Nuvee Pongsathidporn named PHD Thailand managing director

PHD Thailand has announced the appointment of Nuvee Pongsathidporn as managing director with immediate effect, after departing his role as managing director of MEC Thailand.

Pongsathidporn has a 15 year career in the brand business, working for the likes of Haircare AOR and P&G Asean. He will report directly to Omnicom Media Group CEO Sunee Paripunna and PHD CEO Susana Tsui.

Sunee Paripunna, CEO of Omnicom Media Group, Thailand, said, “The media landscape in Thailand is changing rapidly, as everywhere else and traditional approaches to media are giving way to new media. Nuvee has an ambition to grow PHD into one of the top 5 agencies in Thailand leveraging PHD’s strength in innovation and thought leadership. I am delighted with his appointment and confident that he will succeed in his mission of making PHD’s presence felt in this market.”

Commenting on his appointment, Nuvee said, “It gives me great pleasure to be a part of PHD Thailand. Fragmentation of the media industry in Thailand, indicates that now more than ever, the emphasis on innovation, integration of media platforms and the big idea will be critical. I am looking forward to drive PHD’s growth story in Thailand and to ensure that we always help our clients to find a better way for their brands.”

PHD has over 3,000 staff operating from 80 offices worldwide.
