Credit company MBNA has retained the services of media agency MEC following a competitive pitch.

The £10m account will see MEC handle MBNA's media planning and buying, focused around the brand proposition of 'Making Life Easier'.

Louise Tantum, head of marketing operations at MBNA, added: “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with MEC. In the pitch process they showed that they perfectly understood our target audience and business objectives.

“We are looking forward to working with them on the “Making Life Easier” campaign and seeing the results.”

Marc Pearson, managing partner at MEC Interaction, said: “MBNA has a successful history working with MEC over the years and we are delighted to continue our work together.

“We will be driving the MBNA brand vision forward with the ‘Making Life Easier’ campaign, as well as delivering data-driven performance marketing.”

MEC was one of five agencies pitching for the role after a five-year partnership with the brand.
