Paint brand Valspar has kicked off its multi million pound UK launch campaign with a piece of illusionary artwork on London’s Clerkenwell Road.

Forming part of the brand’s ‘Colour Outside the Lines’ marketing campaign, which aims to inspire consumers to be brighter and bolder in their colour choices, the art instalation is intended to look like a family home which has had a wall knocked through.

The space was design by interior designer, Will Taylor, and painted by Poole based community artist Nina Camplin alongside street art experts Global Street Art.

It took 160 hours to cover 1,352 square ft of wall space by using trick of the eye artwork, otherwise known as trompe l’oeil, to expose the two bed household above the Hat & Feathers public house.

The artwork will be live throughout March 2015, alongside TV, online, social and PR.
