The Ekocycle brand, a collaboration between music artist and entrepreneur will.i.am and Coca-Cola, has been created to push the boundaries of sustainable fashion and design by using recycled plastic bottles in its products.

Originally launched in the US last year, the project has today (7 March) been exclusively introduced into the UK in Harrods. It features a range of products from clothing to home interiors, a 3D printer and a portable bike, all created through a collaboration with global brands including Adidas, Ecoalf, Futai, Globe-Trotter, H Brothers, Renew Merchandise, MCM and Misfit.

The brand’s ambition is to educate and empower consumers to proactively seek out more sustainable lifestyle choices, by identifying everyday household products and recycling them into wearable and useable items within fashion and design.

For example the range includes a jacket that was partly made from 28 recycled Coca-Cola bottles and a 3D printed iphone case made entirely of bottles that would otherwise have been discarded.
