Engine UK has promoted the managing director of its advertising agency WCRS Simon Peck to the newly created group managing director role.

SimonPeck

Peck is tasked with crystallising the group’s integrated offering, which spans advertising, sponsorship and communications, while developing each agency's proposition. He has oversight of marketing and business development that will see him focus efforts on prospective clients.

Peck will retain his existing client relationships in his new role, and report to Engine’s UK chief executive Debbie Klein.

The position fills a key gap within the group following its acquisition by Lake Capital last summer. Engine is now part of an organisation that has over 2,000 employees spanning fellow marketing companies ORC International and Trailer Park.

Peck’s promotion ends his 17-year career at WRCS, initially joining the agency in 1998 from BBH as an account manager. He headed up account management in 2004 and was part of the team that masterminded the agency’s buyout from Havas that same year. Four years later he was named as one of the first Engine Client MDs, and was appointed managing director of WCRS in November 2010.
