Maria Lopez-Knowles has been appointed to the newly created role of chief marketing officer for Entravision, a media company serving Latino audiences and communities.

In her new role, she will oversee Entravision’s multimedia marketing efforts across its broadcast, radio, and digital properties while developing and managing the company’s corporate marketing strategy to achieve its strategic objectives.

Previously, she served as CMO of Entravision’s Pulpo Media business unit, a data-driven platform that offers analytics to marketers using its technology.

Walter F. Ulloa, chairman and CEO of Entravision, said in a statement: “María's over 30 years of advertising and marketing expertise make her the ideal candidate to further strengthen Entravision's integrated approach to our marketing and digital businesses.”

He added that her in-depth Latino market insights across generations brings a unique skill set to the role.

Before joining Pulpo, Lopez-Knowles served as president of GlobalHue Latino, a multicultural agency. Prior to that, she was at McCann Worldgroup where she founded and led a division of its McCann Relationship Marketing Unit, exclusively focused on targeting acculturated Hispanics digitally.
