This week, Bolthouse Farms is challenging foodies to participate in the takeover for one week to reach the goal of one million healthy images per day through posting and tagging fruits and vegetables.

Users can use the hashtag “#urwhatupost” and specific fruit and veggie hashtags like “#carrot” and “#berries” to participate.

Last year, Bolthouse Farms launched a Food Porn Index to track insights on social media users’ eating habits by tracking food porn hashtags. The data shows that 63 per cent of posts are unhealthy while 37 per cent are healthy.

“Pie” and “ice cream” were the most popular unhealthy hashtags while “berry” and “potato” were the most popular healthy ones.

Suzanne Ginestro, chief marketing officer at Bolthouse Farms, said people love to share photos of food that reflects their lifestyle.

“We believe by sharing more images of fruits and veggies online, we can inspire better food choices offline,” she said.

Bolthouse Farms is a supporter of the FNV brand that was announced last week at the Partnership for a Healthier America’s (PHA) Building a Healthier Future Summit.
