Twitter investigates Isis death threats against co-founder Jack Dorsey

Twitter has launched an investigation into a purported assassination threat made against its co-founder Jack Dorsey by the militant Islamist group ISIS.

Comments appearing to have been written by the terror organisation were reported by Buzzfeed to have been posted on an anonymous website hosted in Poland stating ‘We always come back’, together with an image of the group’s black flag and an image of a Dorsey’s face overlayed by cross hairs.

It is believed the threat was issued in retaliation to a Twitter crackdown on social media accounts run by members of the outlawed group.

In a statement handed to American broadcaster CNBC Twitter said: “Our security team is investigating the veracity of these threats with relevant law enforcement officials.”
