The Mission Marketing Group has merged Big Communications with Balloon Dog to create a new entity with a turnover of £13m and led by chief executive, James Clifton.

The new 160-person entity, called Big Dog will have offices across London, Leicester, Norwich and Birmingham, with Big chief executive, Dylan Bogg named as chief creative officer.

Clifton said: “Combining Balloon Dog’s strategic nature and Big’s creative style is an exciting move for the two agencies. Both companies are motivated by providing the very best service for our clients, closely linked to business performance, so bringing the two together to form one truly creative, integrated company made perfect sense.

“We now have the depth of skills and services that international clients demand but an agility, proactivity and energy that is often lacking in larger group-led agencies. We exist to do brilliant work with measurable brand payback for successful clients.”

Greig McCallum, former managing partner at Balloon Dog will take up the role of chief strategic officer, finalising the leadership of the agency.
