TFI Friday to return for 20th anniversary special

Channel 4 and Chris Evans are to bring 90s entertainment show TFI Friday back to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Reports suggest a plans for a 90-minute show in June are underway. Last year Evans confirmed he had been approached about reviving TFI Friday for a " 20th anniversary show and/or run".

At the time he said: "I was completely bang up for it until I did the maths last week and had to phone them and say it's only 19 years next year, it's actually 20 years the year after. I think they still want to go for it and just hope no one notices."

Evans hosted five series of the, at times controversial, show which was banned from Channel 4 after guest Shaun Ryder swore on air.
