Twitter has launched its first ever European job fair with the site bringing to the fore over 50 major UK businesses.

The summit, which includes John Lewis, Boots and British Gas, kicked off today (25 February), offering career advice on the social media site using the hashtag #YourJob. Job hunters were encouraged to post career questions to a number of employers throughout the day.

Joe Billingham, director of the National Careers Service, said: "The National Careers Service is delighted to support the Twitter Job Fair to bring together people seeking work with employers and with people that can offer advice and guidance on how to start, develop and enhance your career."

Apprentice 2012 winner Ricky Martin was also enlisted to take part in an online Q&A session.

This comes after Twitter and Nestle offered socially-savvy web users the chance to win a paid ten week internship using a six second Vine on Monday.
