Roast, a new online performance agency, has been founded by former Steak Group chief executive, Oliver Bishop who has also hired Gareth Owen, strategy partner at iProspect as managing director.
Bishop, who sold Steak to Dentsu Aegis in 2011 before leaving last year, has brought in Owen, who was head of performance at Steak, to help lead the new digital operation.
He explained: “Digital is having to mature quite rapidly. Agencies must shift their models, demonstrating their value by being more strategically aligned with brands and utilising data and insights more intelligently. I’m excited to join Roast, and have the opportunity to be revolutionary in our approach from day one.”
Bishop has also hired Charlotte Groves from J. Walter Thompson London to head up marketing the business.
